REVIEW: BEAUTY SPONGE AND BRUSH CLEANSERS

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Hello again beauties!

I'm happy to be back with another blog post:) I've been waiting for some sunnier days to take some great shots of my makeup but It's still pretty dark out. After the time change with daylight savings It starts to get dark out here around 4:30. So I run home after work to get as many pictures as I can under the sun. Hopefully these images are nice and bright for you to see:)

So after all the Halloween makeup, my brushes and beauty sponges ended up real dirty! Saturday I was out in the morning just shopping and I decided to stop at Ulta and later Sephora. Of course, I can almost never walk out of there empty handed! So I decided to try out the Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel and the Beauty Blender Bendercleanser Solid. I must say that I am amazed by the results!

REAL TECHNIQUES DEEP CLEANSING GEL

This product has one of the yummiest fresh smells. It comes as a clear gel and I just mix a drop with some water, and it dissolves the makeup like magic (much faster then shampoo, which is what I normally use). The only thing I would have liked different is that it had some troubles dissolving thick fluids such as thick concealers and face paint. I had to use a few other products to get rid of these fluids on my brushes.

But, if you are wanting to do a quick clean on your powder and eyeshadow brushes, this stuff is amazing and it will make the dirt disappear in a snap!

BLENDERCLEANSER SOLID

I have had a few beauty blenders for almost a year now (I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing to have them for so long haha), and I have been using shampoo and conditioner to clean them. But, I've noticed that the beauty blenders still have some stains after washing. After hearing great reviews on this product I really wanted to give it a try.

This product feels like a bar of soap and has a lavender essential oil smell to it. It cleaned by beauty blenders like a charm! All of the stains are gone now! Just the normal wear from having them for so long has remained. It is great for cleaning them all over or just to spot clean.

I will definitely be re-purchasing these products again, specially the Beauty Blender cleaner. I hope this review was helpful! If you try out these products let me know how you like them:)

  2. I usually use baby shampoo to clean my brushes and my beauty blender, but the stains don't really go out. I might pick up the cleanser now that you are so excited.
