LITTLE HAUL: NEW MAKEUP 2016

Monday, January 25, 2016

Some new makeup for the new year! I would buy all of the makeup if I could! It's seriously something that I collect. Sephora is one of those places that reminds me of my childhood (when I was a child going to the candy section and filled up my basket with candies. It's a similar idea!). I purchased a few new items at Sephora and wanted to share them with you.

BECCA SHADOW AND LIGHT BROW COUNTOUR MOUSSE

I've been using the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, and I do like it a lot but I've noticed that it's drying up on me a lot. I have a hard time applying it evenly on the brows. So I wanted to give the Becca Brow Mousse a try. I swatched it at Sephora and the highlighting cream was the first thing that caught my attention. I can't wait to try this out! I got mine in the shade "Mocha".

(Featuring Clinique Pop lipstick in "Beige Pop" and Becca Brow Mousse)

CLINIQUE POP LIP COLOR + PRIMER
So I didn't even realize that this lipstick has a primer built into it. I bought it for the beautiful nude-pinky shade, but the primer is a plus! This lippie is supposed to give you a velvety finish and last up to 8 hours. I'm excited to see the results! I got mine in the shade "Beige Pop".

CLINIQUE BOTTOM LASH MASCARA
This seriously caught my attention when I saw it. The wand is so so tiny and looks perfect to coat every little hair on the bottom lash line.

TARTE MARACUJA C-BRIGHTER TREATMENT

The Tarte eye cream claims to  hydrate, firm, and brighten the eye area. I swatched this at Sephora and the consistency feels so right! Not too thick, but thick enough to feel hydrating:)

SMASHBOX PRIMER WATER
I redeemed this cute little bottle with 100 of my Sephora points:) This product is supposed to help prime, hydrate, and give a sheer radiance to the skin.

I'm so ready to start using these. Of course I will use them on new makeup tutorials and let you know how I like them! What products are you beauties loving? :) Share below!

NAIL DRESS UP

Friday, January 22, 2016

Do you love gorgeous nails as much as I do? Because I must always have mine painted whether they are short or long. It just makes such a difference when I have my pretty nails with me. I've recently come across stick on nails and I'm obsessed! The ones I've been using are by NailHur. They have so many different styles and shapes. Of course, when I first heard about glue-ons I thought they would fall off very easily and look totally fake, but I was so wrong. They are salon quality nails and you can do them in the comfort of your home.

Wear and Longevity:
These nails stay on your nails for about a week and half. I'm still able to do dishes and all of my daily tasks without problems. They are very comfortable to wear, easy to apply, re-wearable, and they look like regular acrylic nails! It saves me a few dollars from acrylics, and a few minutes from painting my nails. If you've been thinking about trying out stick-ons, I can tell you that they're definitely my new nail obsession!

Here are some styles I've been wearing lately:
-Playful Stiletto
-Samantha Stiletto
-24 Shades of Grey Squaletto

I also have a coupon code for you gals. It really does save you quite a bit! You can use code "nati" for 10% off here.

*Some of these nails were sent to me for review, and other's were purchased with my money. After trying them out I loved them so much so I decided to purchase some myself. As always, this is 100% my own opinion.

REVIEW: JANUARY MORPHE BRUSHES

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

My January monthly subscription of Morphe brushes just came in and I'm loving them! This month it's all about the eyes. All of these brushes should be everything you need to create the perfect eye look, including brows. If you weren't aware, Morphe brushes now has a monthly subscription where you pay $20 and you receive at least $30 worth in brushes. So far I am loving everything I've received!

BRUSHES I RECEIVED:

M173 – Mini Buffer ($9.98)
This brush is great to apply liquids. It's perfect for applying eye primer and even for contouring the nose! I love using this to blend my nose contour and highlight.

M208 – Chisel Deluxe Fluff (Currently out of stock)
This is a pretty big brush and very dense. I like using this brush to apply shimmery shadows on the lid. It cuts the time in half as it is way bigger than a regular brush this style.

M176 – Tapered Blender ($4.99)
Very nice brush for concealer. Although it's a natural hair brush, it's flat enough where you can still use it with liquids. It's also beautiful for setting the lids with a light matte shadow to prep for eyeshadow.

M209 – Chisel Pointed Fluff (Currently out of stock)
This one is very soft. I enjoy using it to apply shadow to the brow bone area as it won't give such an intense application like the M208.

M167 – Oval Shadow ($5.99)
The M167 has so many uses! It's small enough to create details. I've loved this on the brows to carve out the shape with concealer. You can also use it to tightly pack eyeshadow on the lid area.

M200 – Deluxe Crease ($9.99)
This brush is so fluffy and perfect to create a cut crease. Depending on how much shadow and pressure you use, you can create a soft blended look on the crease or a very intense cut crease.

M215 – Brow ($1.99)
I haven't used this one too much as I'm always using my holly grail Anastasia Beverly Hills brow brush. The M215 has a nice diagonal shape and is very thin to create hair like textures and fill in your brows.

M217 – Bent Liner ($5.99)
This is my first bent eyeliner brush! I'm still getting around to using it as it's definitely different than any other brush I've had. These are supposed to makeup the eyeliner application a lot easier than a regular eyeliner brush.

*All brushes were purchased with my own money:)

REVIEW: HOUSE OF LASHES

Monday, January 11, 2016

Good morning beauties! Today I wanted to talk to you about these beautiful lashes I have been wearing a lot lately. These are the House of Lashes lashes. Every single item I have ever tried from House of Lashes has been purchased with my own money. I tried them for the very first time about a year ago and always wanted to purchase more. These do last a very long time so you don't need to purchase a new pair for a while. One pair will last about 15 uses on me.

-MY FAVES-
Noir Fairy (black): This is a very dramatic lash. I love that it gives you a beautiful cat eye effect at the end of the lash. This is a bolder lash and really makes the perfect party look. (Also available in brown). See lash here

Iconic: The Iconic's are such a popular lash. They are definitely more bold, but not as bold as the Noir Fairy, in my opinion. These are a universal lash, so they should look good on most people!:) See lash here

Smokey Muse: The perfect bride lashes. These lashes are not too dramatic. They are perfectly bold without being "too bold". I adore how fluffy they are at the ends. Of course, they are also very easy to apply and very comfortable. See lash here

Siren/Bambi: These I would say are the most everyday type of lashes. They have a nice clear band and are extremely comfortable and easy to apply. Most of the time I can't even feel that I'm wearing lashes! See lash here and here

Glue: By far, this glue is the best when it comes to long lasting. If you don't want your lashes to lift on the corners, then this is the perfect glue. You could literally be driving down the freeway and stick your head out the window, and these lashes will not move! I love this glue so much. Both dark and clear work amazing!

I really hope this review is helpful to you. You can always start out by purchasing 1 lash and see how you like the quality of the lashes. If you sign up for their newsletter they will give you a 10% discount your first order, too! What lashes do you dolls love? Let me know below!:)

*Lashes pictured (left to right): Noir Fairy, Noir Fairy, Smokey Muse, Starlet, Noir Fairy, Pixie Luxe, Bambi. (I need to re-purchase Iconic and Siren because they were definitely loved a lot the last few months!)

MORPHE BRUSHES: NEW MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION

Friday, January 8, 2016

I don't even know how to start this post! I'm just too excited to show you what I got for the month of December. If you haven't heard, Morphe just came out with a monthly subscription for brushes:D You pay $19.99 ($20) and they ship you a $30 value of brushes right to your door each month.

They started this in December and I just received my brushes a few weeks ago. I was too impatient to wait, so I did try them already (and washed them for the pictures). Here's what I got:

(left to right)
M439 DELUXE BUFFER BRUSH ($13.99 value)-
This is perfect to apply foundation or any kind of liquid. It leaves no streaks and gives you a flawless finish.

M160 1/16 ANGLE TAKLON LINER BRUSH ($1.99 value)-
My new favorite eyeliner brush. It draws the best wings! I am amazed at how inexpensive this brush is. It is honestly better than any other brush I have used to create a winged liner. This brush is so easy to maneuver.

M140 CHISEL DELUXE DOME BRUSH ($12.99 value)-
This one is beautiful to apply bronzers. I will say that mine is shedding a tiny bit... not sure if this is normal. But, I still use the brush because I really like the way it applies my bronzers. I can create a nice blended contour and it makes application very quick since it's a large brush.

M601 SOFT FAN BRUSH ($4.99 value)-
I like using this soft fan brush to apply highlighter on the top of the cheek bones, bridge and tip of the nose, and cupids bow. I use it at an angle for a soft application, and slanted at a horizontal angle for heavier application.

I can't wait to see what I'll get this month of January! These brushes are always put to great use. Do you guys have any monthly subscriptions that you love? Let me know in the comments what you recommend!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SELF MADE TUTORIAL

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

I'm so happy to be doing my first 2016 post! And there are many more to come! I recently purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette in "Self Made". I seriously love Anastasia's eyeshadows as they are very pigmented and blendable. They are one of my faves and I couldn't wait to try out the Self Made palette. I'll be doing swatches for you dolls soon so that you can decide if it's a palette you want to invest in. Below is one of the many looks you can create with this palette!

EYE MAKEUP ITEMS

PRIMER
-"NW30" Prolongwear concealer by MAC Cosmetics to prime the lids.

EYESHADOWS
"Buttery" on the entire lid to set the primer. I like to go a little heavier with this shadow on the brow bone area - "Deep Purple" as a transition shade - "Metallic Plum" on the outer corner to deepen the crease - "Pink Champagne" on the center of the lid (yessss... you know I used that MAC Fix+ to intensify my eyeshadow:D) - "Treasure" in the inner corner and a little on the brow bone as a highlight.
Bottom Eyeshadows: Use "Deep Purple" on the outer-bottom lash line, add "Pink Champagne" in the center-bottom lash line, and "Treasure" in the inner-bottom lash line. Softly blend all shades to create a radiant effect.

EYELINER
-"Black" matte liquid liner by NYX Cosmetics to create a wing. Bring the wing all the way to the inner corner to create the little tip.

-"Blackest Black" L'Oreal Infallible Gel liner in the water line.

LASHES
-"Scarlett #8" lashes by Huda Beauty

MASCARA
-"Lights Camera Lashes" mascara by Tarte Cosmetics to blend your real lashes with the falsies, and also on bottom lashes.
